Refresh and try again. The book has been awarded with John W. Campbell Memorial Award Nominee for Best Science Fiction Novel (1989), SFBC Award (1989) and many others. There were so many characters for me to keep track of and there wasn't a whole lot happening at parts. Dragonsdawn is one of the best Pern books I have read so far. I think this is also the series that began my love of dragons! We’d love your help. Tillek and Keroon are two separate characters in the book. This was the first Pern book that i've read. There are a handful of books that are similar. I figure that 20 years or so down the road still counts as "reading". I thought it was disgusting, and although I'd heard great things about the Pern books and was excited to read them, I will not be finishing this one or reading the others.
