It starts off a little slow but picks up steam. No references to Spanish culture or language, no mystery, no dialogue, no folklore, no humour. Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 1998. But Day of wrath is different. Having said that, I strongly recommend the book to all and give warning that you will not find a major battle sequence. Doesn't anyone proof read anymore? Very fast paced book with a hollywood ending.
I don't know what one it was, but recall remote control surfing and when I saw his face I changed the channel. Lambert is fine but not given much to work with. I found it to be a richly entertaining mystery. The ending leaves you satisfied and is thought provoking as well. Dryer's precision proves highly effective in creating the film's mood of dark oppression, and every detail is perfectly in keeping with the film's tone %u2013 which often resembles a thriller. Additionally Christopher Lambert, really delivered, much to my surprise. The only real credit goes to the Hungarian actors for doing their best in a foreign language - especially Lukács Bicskey who played the Hungarian mercenary. I was disappointed in this book though, not because of the story itself, but because of all of the typos! The documentation was exact and you could almost smell the smoke in the fire scenes. The photography was well worth watching, very well done and historical scenes were also well done.The scenes also folded well into each other .A smooth continuity, and understandable lines. I do think that for a low budget film it had an interesting, well thought out story. Disabling it will result in some disabled or missing features. Is like "You gotta to what you gotta do". It does the movie disservice. He plays "Ruy" the sheriff investigating a series of murders that leave cryptic clues leading him to the very heart of the State and to ancient anti-Semitic prejudices and conspiracies. And in this type of movie the suspense is everything. We rented the movie as a joke, but it wasn't even funny enough to sit through. by Bond, Larry.
